Rock and Roll could never Hip Hop like this

Dearest Music Aficionados,

While I anxiously await new releases from Animal Collective (I recommend "My Girls") and Andrew Bird, I figured I'd drop a few links to other acts that have made an impression on me lately. I would greatly appreciate further recommendations, so I can check them out and explain to you why you're wrong.

In no particular order:

Sun Kil Moon. Intimate folk rock, nice gentle meanderings.
Passion Pit. Harvard pop electronica (assuming such category exists). I only recently received this recommedation, but it's already better than Hercules & Love Affair which somehow ended up on every 'best 0f 2008' list despite its proclivity to sucking ass. Thanks to Andy Orr for confirming.
Delta Spirit. Cock rock, in a loving way. Their myspace page is being temperamental, but here's a quality production.
Blitzen Trapper. '60s pop rock.
Seabear They're so chill, they're icelandic. Thanks Andy, again.
Walkmen. Still awesome four albums in. You'll love or hate singer Hamilton Leithauser's voice. I find him dreamy.
The Dodos. "Cocaine's a hellofa drug".

New "The National", "Bon Iver", "Grizzly Bear":
